SUNPLUS was founded by Scott Mehler, lover of sunshine, wellness living, and all things outdoors.
He knows the importance of sunscreen. Scott learned the hard way. He grew up under the Southern California sun, spending most daylight hours at the beach, in the ocean, or in the pool training; rarely wearing sunscreen. Or wearing ineffective sunscreen.
He is now paying for those days under the sun without adequate sunscreen. He has been in an ongoing battle with skin cancer since a young age.
Scott did not want others to go through what he continues to endure. He knew he could create a better feeling and performing product that he and his family actually wanted to wear. That felt good on application. That was enjoyable to wear. That made them feel like they were being good to themselves. That supported their healthy, active, outdoor lifestyle. That supported their wellness journey. That felt as good going on and was as good for their skin as their favorite non-SPF skin care products. That felt luxury. But did not cost luxury.
